WHO WE ARE

The Improv Place is a Seattle nonprofit theater and the home of Seattle Black Improv. Through workshops, shows, and free community events, we create an inclusive stage for diverse artists and performers of every skill level.

We believe everyone deserves the chance, and the support, to create their own art.

WHY CHOOSE US

A Haven for Creatives

Here at The Improv Place, you can show up exactly as you are. Our stages and classrooms are safe spaces to explore, take risks, and discover new parts of yourself through play and laughter.

We’re building a community that celebrates every background, story, and skill level. Here, your voice matters, your choices are honored, and there’s no wrong way to be creative.

Join us because improv is more than theater. It’s how we connect, support each other, and build something together.

“Our mission is to give a voice to the voiceless...”

Jermaine Trice, Founder
